5 tips to keeping a contented family this summer holiday

1. Have a plan Mix days at home with a day out, a friend to play and some time for you

2. Share the load -Swap childcare for an afternoon or morning with a friend, they have yours and you have theirs.

3. Get out and play with your children- Build a den, get the paints out, do an art project together, go for walk, something that focuses on time spent together.

4. Give them some responsibility and let them earn their days out- let them help with the chores, hovering, dusting, watering the garden, emptying the dishwasher

5. Give some time for yourself- plan a day to do something of your choice even if its just chilling in the garden with a magazine.
